Latin Tutorials for Homeschool Students

In partnership with Christian Home Educating Families (CHEF), Kelley Howells
will be teaching Latin tutorials to homeschool students in Accokeek again
this year.  Classes will meet on Wednesdays beginning September 11 at
Whitehall Baptist Church in Accokeek.  A student is never too old to begin
studying Latin, but to keep up with the work, a student should probably be
in 6th grade (about age 11) or higher (an exception can be made for a
younger student with strong language skills).

Latin I
9:35 - 10:30 on Wednesday
Text:  William Linney, "Getting Started With Latin" (about $20)

Latin II
12:00 - 12:55 on Wednesday
Text:  Cheryl Lowe, "First Form Latin" (text and workbook about $30)

Latin III
TBD
Text:  Cheryl Lowe, "Second Form Latin" (text and workbook about $30)

Fall session is from September 11 - December 4 (no class November 27)
Fee:  $72 for 12 classes

Winter/spring session is from January 8 - May 14 (no class April 16)
Fee:  $108 for 18 classes
During this session, students in all classes will complete the texts they
started with in the fall and need to purchase a new book.

For more information about the Latin tutorials, please contact the
instructor, Kelley Howells khowells@erols.com

  2. Thanks for this sharing Latin tutorials for Homeschool Students. If after taking help of these Latin tutorials you are still struggling to learn Latin grammar then I would like to recommend the Latin Grammar book by The Olivia & Hill Press which is specially designed to be used as a study guide for adult, high-school, and college students who are learning Latin.
