Children's Book Discussion - Accokeek Library

The children's book discussion at the Accokeek Library, third Monday of each month unless a holiday and then on the fourth Monday of the month, at 2:30 pm.  Please see the attached bibliography.
I will be teaching the children how to analyze literature.  To help them to understand this better, each child will write a short story but in parts each month.  So one month they will just come up with an idea for a story.  Another month they will think out a plot.  Later they will develop their characters.  Eventually by May, they will have their short story completed and will turn it in for some local authors to critique.  In June I am hoping that the authors will be available for the children so they can answer any questions they might have.  I am looking into a way to get their stories published but don't know if I will be able to do this.  We see what can be worked out.
I think it will be a fun and productive year.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email  Anne-Marie Ramsey [ramsey.annemarie@gmail.com]

Please let me know asap if your child will be attending so I can register them and know how many there will be.  Thank you!
Anne
