Executive Function Dysfunction:
Why Some Children Struggle in School
Does your child have difficulty planning and
completing assignments?  Do you work with
students who get over-whelmed with too much
homework?  How are written language and
organizational skills related?  How do executive
function difficulties affect math achievement?
There are many children whose diagnostic data
do not predict the difficulties they face every day
in school.  Many times the cause for the
unexpected difficulty is a weak executive
function.   This session will explain how executive
function difficulties affect school achievement
and how a school can help children with these
challenges.
Wednesday, October 3

Presented by:
Dr. Joan Mele-McCarthy
