The GAVA/GATE Animation
Program in Greenbelt runs classes for homeschooled students ages 10-18.
The winter session starts Monday, Jan. 28, from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, and runs for
12 weeks. The classes take place at GATE studios in the Greenbelt
Community Center, and the fee is $170 for non-Greenbelters ($160 for Greenbelt
residents). Fee includes opportunity to schedule independent study time
outside of class time. Class uses computer animation, and students create
their own original animated shorts. This program has been teaching
animation to homeschoolers for over 12 years. Contact Barbara Simon
