Notes	The top high school poets from the DC area compete in a poetry slam for a chance to earn a spot on the 2013 DC Youth Slam Team. These teenage performance poets have qualified for semifinals by winning previous slams. This evening, they perform original poetry and are judged by members of the audience. Presented in collaboration with Split This Rock, a DC-based poetry nonprofit that sponsors the city’s youth slam team and sends it to regional and international competitions.
