I’d
like to invite any of the 13-18 year old homeschoolers to join us on the third
Tuesday of the month, at 2:30 pm at the Accokeek Library. Last year’s group
voted at the end of the year to do Tolkien as the theme, so we are reading the
Lord of the Rings series. Each book in the series is broken into two “books”,
so for October we will be doing The Fellowship of the Ring, book one
(the first half). For November we will discuss The Fellowship of the Ring,
book two (the second half) and so on until we finish all three books in the
series. For the last two months we have the opportunity to screen the movies at
the library. Gayle Oliver has offered us a great deal of support from the
library for the book club this year and I would love to see some old faces and
