Let’s Cook for Mom and Dad

Children ages 10-14 learn how to prepare a simple, but elegant meal that they can make for their parents. On the menu: Steamed shrimp lettuce wraps with veggies, sprouts & a nam pla dipping sauce (DELICIOUS!), Quinoa 5 bean wrap scented with cumin with a cilantro chimi churi in a gluten free wrap, Thai chicken wrap with peanut sauce, carrots and cabbage. Eating Well on the Cheap: FREE Value Tour & Cooking Demonstration

The first step toward eating better on a budget is spending your money on actual food so you get the most nutrition for your buck. Cheap food is usually made from cheap ingredients, often including synthetic preservatives and dyes. We offer real food, free of artificial ingredients and hydrogenated fats at the best price possible, especially when you know where to look.  Join us for our “value” tour.  You'll discover you can afford to shop Whole Foods on a budget. Following the tour, enjoy a demonstration and tasting of how to make delicious and affordable black bean quesadillas and fiesta salad. Attendees will also receive a gift bag.

How To: Knife Skills
Thursday, March 13th, 6:00pm-7:30pm
In this class, participants will learn how to use different knives, including a chef's knife, boning knife, and a paring knife and knife cuts including Dice, Julienne, and Brunoise. You will also learn how to take proper care of your knives.  Handout will be given. All proceeds will be donated to the Whole Planet Foundation to fund poverty alleviation projects across the globe and in the U.S.!

Fast and Healthful Weeknight Meals with Tessemae’s
Wednesday, March 19th, 5:30pm-6:30pm
In this class, participants will learn how to prepare three easy weeknight recipes using Tessemae’s products. The menu will consist of Butternut squash soup with raspberry vin, Teriyaki salmon with bok choy and coconut quinoa, and Garlicky orecchiette with broccolini and chickpeas. There will be a Q&A throughout the demonstration, and at the end of the class each attendee will get a goody bag of recipe cards, products, and fun surprises! Click here to register online.

How To: Cook Gluten-Free Meal
Thursday, March 20th, 6:00pm-7:30pm
In this class, participants will learn how to cook a week's worth of hearty, healthy easy meals. We will lentil casserole, chicken soup and black bean chili. The recipes are all gluten free, allergy friendly and great tasting. Click here to register online.

Enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres while you bid on amazing auction items like cooking classes and specialty gift baskets.  Guests will also enjoy raffles, games and door prizes.
No charge to attend – all are welcome!  100% of proceeds from the auction items will be donated to the Whole Planet Foundation, helping to fund entrepreneurship in third world countries.
