Chemistry (1 credit)
Monday – Thursday
1:30 – 2:30 PM
Recommended pre-requisites: Physical Science, Algebra I (Algebra II suggested)

Chemistry is a laboratory science course in which students investigate the composition of matter and the physical and chemical changes it undergoes. Students use science process skills to study the fundamental structure of atoms, the way atoms combine to form compounds, and the interactions between matter and energy. Students explore chemistry concepts through an inquiry based approach.
This course also investigates chemical bonding and how the kinetic molecular theory and intermolecular forces explain the physical and chemical characteristics of matter. Additional aspects of chemical reactions including limiting reactants, percent yield, equilibrium, reaction rates, and thermochemistry are considered.

Physical Education (1 credit)
Monday – Thursday
2:30 – 3:30 PM
No Prerequisites (medical forms required)

The basic purpose of this course is to motivate students to strive for lifetime personal fitness with an emphasis on health and wellness. Students improve their fitness within the class and learn the process of becoming fit. The concept of wellness, striving to reach optimal levels of health, is the cornerstone of this course. Students design their own personal fitness program.

Spanish 4 (1 credit)
Monday – Thursday
10:40 – 11:40
