This event is sponsored by Godly Home Educating Mothers (GHEM), and will be held at Grace Brethren Church of Clinton in the Fellowship Hall (6501 Surratts Road, Clinton, MD 20735) . Our theme for the year is The Faithfulness of God in Home Education. We will start our year off with GUEST SPEAKER: Carolyn Blackstone, a veteran home educator who along with her husband successfully home educated 4 children. She will be speaking on the topic "The Teaching of Adversity". Please join us as we press forward and start another school year. Whether you're new to home schooling, thinking about home schooling, or a veteran, this event is open to all homeschooling mothers. The cost to attend the event is $7 if you pre-register online from August 11th through August 21st; or $10 at the door on the day of the event. Please register (whether pre-registering or paying at the door) online at www.ghemgroup.org and mail a check for the $7 pre-registration cost to GHEM, P.O. Box 35, Lanham, MD 20703. Join us as we spend time in prayer, share the concerns of your heart regarding your homeschooling year, and receive godly advice from fellow homeschoolers. GHEM activities are open to all homeschooling moms in Prince George’s County and surrounding communities. The purpose of GHEM is to provide an environment that offers support and encouragement to homeschooling mothers and their families. GHEM sponsors monthly events and activities that minister to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the homeschooling mom.
