Everyone Join us for some seafaring fun.
Living Classrooms Shipboard Adventure
Diamond Teague Park
100 Potomac Ave SE
Washington, DC 20003
Arrive at 8:30 AM
Class from 9 - 2:30 with a lunch break (please bring a bagged lunch)
Cost is $35 per passenger (adults and children ages 8 and up)
One adult is required per family.
From the website: Leadership and teamwork are key objectives as students
work together to raise and lower sails, trawl for marine life, perform
scientific tests, and explore the commerce, history, natural resources, and
ecosystems of the Chesapeake Bay.
More info: On each trip students will have a chance to fish using a trawl
net and then examine and identify their catch. Other lessons include water
quality testing, aquatic life dissections, plankton sampling, buoyancy,
benthic grabs and more. Every student gets a chance to steer the boat and
learn to navigate alongside the Captain!

* All 3 of our children were able to take advantage of this trip during
their homeschooling journey. They really enjoyed it. I recommend it
especially for 10 to 14yo crowd. Beth
