Animation Classes for Homeschoolers
Animation for Homeschooled Students ages 10-18 starts Monday, Sept. 10, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and continues thru December for 12 weeks. Our students learn computer animation and create their own original animated videos under the instruction of George Kochell. The fee is $160.00. Classes take place at GATE studios in the Greenbelt Community Center in Old Greenbelt. GATE (Greenbelt Access TV) co-produces this program with the Greenbelt Assn. for the Visual Arts (GAVA), both non-profit community arts organizations. Painting Classes for Homeschoolers Painting classes for homeschooled students ages 5-14 begin Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 2:00-3:00 PM and run for 10 weeks thru November. Our students work with temperaa and water color painting under the instruction of team-teachers Barbara Simon and Ingrid Hass. Older children in the class will learn with Ingrid advanced water color techniques, such as color mixing, washes, and layer pigments to create different values and colors. Younger children will work with Barbara in tempera and water color, with the emphasis on imagination and creativity. Fee is $60.00. Classes take place in the Mowatt Methodist Church in Old Greenbelt.
