According to the CDC, heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. To help keep you heart healthy in February while celebrating the month of love here in the Annapolis area you'll find the opportunity to walk, sing, dance and take advantage of the free health screenings to keep your heart in check with the events listed below. Heart Health Foundation of Annapolis presents "A Heart Walk"

Join us on Saturday, February 1, 2014 for a HEART WALK at 11:00 am. It will begin at Fado, continuing on West St., down Main St. to the Market House for our kick-off celebration at noon. Live broadcast from WRNR Radio.
 
Bring your family and friends. The SPCA dogs are looking for other pets to join on this important walk for heart health. If you are unable to walk meet us at the Market House by noon. Pets must be leashed. Wear Red!

Join the folks at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a day of heart health activities, education, music, health screenings, and refreshments for the entire family. Learn about the benefits of dance and exercise in the prevention of heart disease. Presentations and demonstrations will be offered by local dance studios. Health screenings will be offered. Refreshments and promotional items will also be available. Registration is not required.
