After school Painting - Greenbelt

Afterschool painting classes will be held at Mowatt Methodist Church in Greenbelt on Tuesdays, starting Sept. 16. from 4:30-5:30, run for 10 sessions (thru Nov. 18) and the fee is still $60.00.  The instructors are Barbara Simon and Ingrid Haas. Computer animation classes - Greenbelt

Computer animation classes for homeschooled students ages 10-18 return this fall in Greenbelt at GATE Studios at the Greenbelt Community Center.  A collaborative program between GATE (Greenbelt Access Television) and GAVA (Greenbelt Assn. for the Visual Arts), these classes have been going for over 15 years with George Kochell as the instructor.  Students learn all aspects of computer animation, and create their own original animated shorts.  Classes are held on Mondays, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, and begin Sept. 15 and run thru Dec. 8 (12 weeks, skipping Oct. 13).  The fee is $170.00.  For more information, contact Barbara Simon, Program Director, at simongava@yahoo.com

10TH ANNUAL RUTH/NAOMI PRAYER BREAKFAST SPONSORED BY GODLY HOME EDUCATING MOTHERS (GHEM)


Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 9:30 am to noon. This event will be held at Grace Brethren Church of Clinton in the Fellowship Hall (6501 Surratts Road, Clinton, MD  20735) .  We will start our year off with GUEST SPEAKER:  Janis Perry, a veteran home educator who along with her husband successfully home educated 8 children.  Janis will be speaking on the Topic:  Homeschooling Olive Plants the Hands of The Master Potter!! 

Please join us as we press forward and start another school year.  Whether you're new to home schooling, thinking about home schooling, or a veteran, this event is open to all homeschooling mothers. Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Educational Show

Information about our 2014-2015 11:00am educational matinee performances at our castle located in Hanover, Maryland.  (At Arundel Mills) At this presentation, there is an in depth discussion of the time period, dress, weapons and customs of the times. 

The school/home school discounted rate per guest this year is $34.01. This cost includes the meal, show, server’s gratuity and amusement tax.
