Civil War Teacher’s Workshop: Using Primary Sources to Tell Your History
History professor and author Dr. Heather Andrea Williams guides teachers through the strategies of using objects and original documents to teach students about the Civil War. After the workshop, Dr. Williams signs copies of her book Help Me Find My People: The African American Search for Families Lost in Slavery. This workshop is being offered in conjunction with the museum’s upcoming exhibition How the Civil War Changed Washington which opens February 2, 2015.
Teachers receive professional development credit for their participation. Space is limited.
