U.S. Naval Academy Junior Leadership Tour. Kids spend a morning learning more about the history of the Naval Academy. Ages 9-12. $40. 9am-noon. US Naval Academy, Annapolis.

U.S. Naval Academy Junior Leadership Tour

Young people 10 through 12 will spend a morning learning more about the history of the Naval Academy and the life of midshipmen who attend college here. Included in the program are a viewing of the film “The Call to Serve” and a stop at the USNA Museum. Junior Leadership Tours are scheduled for Saturdays, March 8, July 12 and August 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Cost of tour, hat, lanyard and materials:  $40.00.

Feel the 60’s and 70’s music with Chanssez’ and his Motown Sound vocal group. Let them take you back to a simpler time when music was inspirational, passionate and melodically defining. Artists like Otis Redding, The Delfonics, Smokey Robinson, Al Green and many more.
8/15, Blue Suede Bop:
Blue Suede Bop plays popular rockabilly from the late 50′s as well as more current songs of the rockabilly style, 50′s and 60′s roots rock and roll, some honky tonk/swing songs, Americana rock and a small variety of some alt/traditional country standards.
8/22, Misspent Youth:
Misspent Youth began as an acoustic duo in 2002, and gradually became the powerhouse rock band that performs to capacity crowds at clubs and festivals in the area. Hailed as one of the top cover bands in MD, DC, and Virginia, MSY brings the best dance rock from the ’80s to today. With songs that range from AC/DC to the Black Eyed Peas, you’ll start dancing the moment you hear them!!
8/29, The Kelly Bell Band:
plays a combination of funk and blues that Kelly calls PHAT blues. Explains the singer: “PHAT blues combines a real nice pocket groove, funky bass lines, traditional guitar licks, fiery piano parts, and my own ‘soulful scream.’ It’s Muddy Waters meets Parliament Funkadelic with shades of D.C. Go-Go.”
