Vocabulary Cartoons II: SAT Word Power

is a great way to have middle and high schoolers learn vocabulary for the SAT.  This book is the second in the series. The format is one word per page. Each word is defined and linked to a more familiar word or concept. Then they draw a crazy cartoon including the vocabulary word and link word. The caption is a sentence also using both words. It is very witty and really creates a connection to help kids remember the vocabulary words.  Look for it in your local library or book store.
