On
Thanksgiving Day Americans come together with their loved ones and enjoy time
honored traditional foods like turkey and sweet potatoes, turnips, greens, and
coleslaw. Reach back in your memories and I'll bet you can smell Thanksgiving
Day's from your childhood. Make this year's dinner one that will be just like
your Grandmother would make by serving fresh and local foods from your
neighborhood family farm. Can't you just smell it cooking now?
This coming Saturday, 11/17/12, from 9a-1p, we are having a pre-Thanksgiving
vegetable sale day! Below is a list of our featured items and the prices of
those items. It is very important that you let us know by e-mail response if
you will be coming to purchase and how much you plan on buying. Of course, you
will not be held to this; we just need an idea of how much to have picked and
ready. This is especially necessary for case amounts of greens! For our CSA
customers, you will be picking out individual items when you arrive. This week
they will not be pre-bagged.
If you have pre-ordered a fresh turkey from our brother, you can contact him
and make arrangements to pick it up on Saturday morning as well. His number is
301-645-3685. If you have not pre-ordered you can call and do so, but he has a
