Arundel Idol Contest
The exciting and very popular Arundel Idol Contest will be held for the 7th year at the Anne Arundel County Fair in September, 2013. This is the opportunity for all talented singers to perform in front of a live audience. Contestants must be 18 years of age or older and be amateurs (individual does not perform professionally for a living). The contest begins on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. on the upper stage at the Fairgrounds. All individuals who apply can perform a song of their choice and judges will select 12 finalists from this group who will perform on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. where two winners will be named. The first prize winner will receive $500 with an added bonus of two hours recording time at a local studio and the second prize winner will be awarded $300.
 In the past, performers have come from all over the State of Maryland as well as from Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Washington, DC. Interested persons can complete the application found on the AA County Fair web site,www.aacountyfair.org and forward it to the Anne Arundel County Fair, c/o ARUNDEL IDOL Contest, P.O. Box 372, Crownsville, Maryland 21032-0372. All applications must be received by Friday, September 6, 2013.

VENDORS ARE WELCOME
The Anne Arundel County Fair is now accepting merchandise and service type vendors for its upcoming 61st Anniversary Fair to be held September 11-15. Both indoor and outdoor vendor space is available. Vendor space starts at $260 for outdoor and $400 for indoor. Individual space size starts 10'x10' with electric. This is a 5 day event!. We are not accepting any food or snack vendors at this time. Email us at info@aacountyfair.org and include a list of items you sell.
